Biography
Dora Lopes was a successful composer and singer in the '50s and '60s. In 1949 Dora Lopes appeared in Ary Barroso's novice show, enjoying immediate success. She worked at the most important radio stations of those times, like the Nacional and the Mayrink Veiga. Lopes also toured Europe several times and had hits with the songs "Pó-de-Mico," "Samba da Madrugada," "Ponto de Encontro," "Amor Proibido," and "Velório de Sambista." ~ Alvaro Neder
