Biography

Conductor Douglas Bostock has headed orchestras in Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Japan, Germany, and Singapore, and has appeared as a guest conductor in many other countries. He is also a significant educator who has taught at institutions in Britain, Denmark, and Japan. Bostock has made recordings with many of the ensembles he had conducted, accumulating a catalog of more than 100 albums. In 2025, he led the Südwestdeutsche Kammerorchester Pforzheim on the album British Music for Strings IV. Bostock was born in Cheshire, England, in 1955. He attended Sheffield University ...
