Dr.Faustus

Formed in 1998 by Paul Sartin (violin/oboe), Tim Van Eyken (b. 7 March 1978, Bristol, Avon, England; melodeon) and Robert Harbron (concertina), Dr. Faustus was one of the first of the new wave of young traditional groups to emerge from the UK folk revival of the late 90s. The group made its first appearance at the premiere of Mick Ryan's The Voyage at Salisbury Playhouse in July, and by the end of the year the ranks had swelled to a quartet with the addition of bouzouki player Benji Kirkpatrick (b. 1976, Shropshire, England).
