Biography
Led by French guitarist and DJ Yvan Serrano (aka DJ Healer Selecta) -- and part of his Raison d'Etre band collective -- rock & roll and rhythm & blues revivalists the Dustaphonics were formed in 2008. The lineup was completed by powerhouse vocalist Hayley Red, Dan Whaley on bass, and either Eric Frajiria or (ex-Milkshake/Headcoat) Bruce Brand on drums. The Dustaphonics' first single, "Burlesque Queen," was issued in 2010 on retro London label Dirty Water ("taking music backwards into tomorrow"). The sleazy R&B grinder was co-written by Tura Satana, star of Russ Meyer's 1965 c...
