Even though they released a video mixtape titled We Are Not VJs, London's multimedia mash-up group Eclectic Method are like Girl Talk as a VJ instead of a DJ. Members Ian Edgar, Geoff Gamlen, and Jonny Wilson began splicing together videos and club beats in 2002, releasing their kinetic Bootleg Video Mix CD-ROM that same year. The crazy mash-up of popular videos, classic films, and general video mayhem influenced MTV Europe to commission the group for MTV MASH, a mash-up video show the network would run from 2003 to 2004.
