Biography

Bo Diddley's music director and electric violinist from 1966 until 1967, and a former sideman for Mongo Santamaria, Ray Barretto and Ike and Tina Turner, Eddie Drennon brought a Latin edge to the disco era of the 1970s. Scoring a major disco hit, in 1975, with "Let's Do The Latin Hustle", Drennon went on to record three dance-inspiring albums with Eddie Drennon And BBS Unlimited, in the late-1970s, and produce New York-based salsa and charanga band, Orquesta Novel, in 1981 and 1982.
