Empire State Bastard play a brutal mix of metal, screamo, and experimental rock, a world away from the more radio-friendly work of their day bands Biffy Clyro and Oceansize. Following a handful of live shows and singles in early 2023, the group issued their debut album, Rivers of Heresy, later that year.
