French composer/musician Yann Tiersen is best known for his soundtrack work as well as his singer/songwriter albums, but in his spare time he contributes to ESB, an electro trio heavily inspired by Krautrock and Berlin-school electronic music. The group began in 2010, when Nestorisbianca's Lionel Laquerrière joined Tiersen's live band. The group began improvising material on analog synthesizers during soundchecks; immensely enjoying the results, they decided to start a new group in order to explore this direction.
