Nicknamed "The Prince of Rumba", Fally Ipupa is arguably the most successful Congolese rhumba singer of his generation. Born in Kinshasa, as a child he sang in a church's choir and upon entering his twenties, he joined Faustin Djata's Talent Latent orchestra.
