Fee Waybill (nee John Waldo) rose to fame, or at least notoriety, first as roadie then as frontman for San Fran crazies the Tubes. The indomitable Waybill created such outrageous stage personalities as druggy superstar Quay Lude and crippled Nazi Dr. Strangekiss.
