A hard rock band whose music grafts elements of nu metal and groove metal with a more traditional, hard-hitting attack, Flat Black is a project from former Five Finger Death Punch guitarist Jason Hook. Though not dissimilar from Hook's work in 5FDP, Flat Black gives him a chance to put his acrobatic guitar work up front, and takes a more elemental approach without sacrificing its physical or emotional impact.
