Flatsound navigates intimate guitar, atmospheric electronics, various other instruments, noise, and field recordings, all in intimate settings for his brooding indie songs and ambient instrumentals. The singer/songwriter started releasing his self-recorded songs and experiments in 2007, and he had released over a half-dozen albums before issuing the 2017 compilation Stayed Up Until Sunrise but Got to Fall Asleep to the Sounds of Birds Singing.
