Swedish group Flowers Must Die's name is inspired by a song from the German Krautrock group Ash Ra Tempel, and they inhabit a similar musical landscape. Nevertheless, while the Amon Duul II and Hawkwind influences are certainly apparent in their records, their take on progressive and psychedelic rock is also fundamentally contemporary, as illustrated by their 2017 album Kompost.
