The first Italian pianist signed to the Deutsche Grammophon label, Francesca Leonardi has appeared internationally as a recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber player. She is also active as an educator.
Leonardi was born in Milan in 1984. She took up the piano at age three and was given lessons by Graziella Bianchi and Paolo Bordoni. At 16, she made her debut as a soloist performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 13 in C major, K. 415, with the Rosetum Orchestra.
