The soft, jangly, shambling pop sounds of Melbourne, Australia quartet Full Ugly began as low-key collaborations between Michael Caterer and songwriter Nathan Burgess. The two were already playing together in the more eclectic outfit Love Connection at the time, and slowly began working on Full Ugly tunes.
