Ganon

Psychedelic doom metal outfit Ganon (named after a character in the Nintendo Zelda series of games) made their home base in Michigan -- Ann Arbor to be exact -- and formed in 2002. Influenced by modern sludge and doom merchants like the Melvins and Eyehategod, Ganon released their first album, In the Dead of Sleep, in 2006. Their follow-up, As Above, So Below, would come much quicker than their first, having been released in 2008. ~ Chris True
