Gareth Hulse

Gareth Hulse is one of Britain's top ensemble and orchestral oboists, performing with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Nash Ensemble, among other groups. He has also appeared on several major film soundtracks and is an important educator. Hulse took up the oboe at age 11 as the result of a coin flip. Entering a school music program, he did not like the sound of the violin, and his parents ruled out a brass instrument.
