Boston's Gentlemen Hall make lighthearted and catchy dance-oriented indie pop. Formed in 2008 while the members were attending college, Gentlemen Hall centers around lead singer/guitarist Gavin Merlot, keyboardist Bradford Alderman, vocalist/guitarist Cobi Mike, bassist Rory Given, drummer Phil Boucher, and flutist Seth Hachen. Initially, Gentlemen Hall built a strong local following by playing clubs, frat houses, and basement parties.
