Gerd Schaller

German conductor Gerd Schaller is known for his recordings of Bruckner symphonies with his own Philharmonie Festiva orchestra. He composed a completion of Bruckner's unfinished Symphony No. 9 in D minor. Schaller has also recorded a variety of neglected German orchestral and operatic works, including several by Karl Goldmark. For the Profil label he has undertaken a complete cycle of Bruckner's symphonies in all versions, which includes a recording of the 1877 version of the Symphony No. 3 in D minor in 2025.
