Gideon Freudmann's unorthodox approach to cello playing has allowed him to play with Richard Thompson, Patty Larkin and They Might Be Giants, all while releasing instrumental and vocal solo albums in a wide variety of styles. Raised in New Hampshire, he began studying cello and piano at an early age. Freudmann played on-and-off during high school, but was also influenced by popular music.
