The Netherlands' Goddess of Desire mix ‘80's styled thrash and power metal with over-the-top theatrics (fireworks, Manowar-meets-Gwar costumes and scantily-clad young maidens) into what they call ‘Ancient Metal.' No, not kidding. Thankfully, band members Count August (vocals/bass), Grev Drake (guitar) and Emperor Mark (drums) usually manage to back up these shenanigans with very competent musicianship and highly potent songwriting.
