Biography
Combining elements of punk, Gypsy music, dub, and Brecht-ian cabaret, Gogol Bordello tell the story of New York's immigrant diaspora through debauchery, humor, and surreal costumes. Led by singer/founder Eugene Hütz, their roster evolves with each subsequent release and tour. Their 1999 debut album, Voi-La Intruder, was issued by the indie Rubric Records, as was 2002's widely acclaimed Multi Kontra Culti vs. Irony.
