Also known as "Le Gooster" and "DJ Goo," Goo was born Nguxi de Carvalho in Geneva at the end of the '60s. With Angolan ancestry and heavily influenced by music at a young age, by 11 Goo was spinning vinyl. In 1987, he purchased a Technics 1200 for his first turntable. After moving to the United States to study architecture, Goo became a household name in San Diego's dance circles in 1991.
