Biography
By the age of 16, Grace Mitchell broke with her downtempo, R&B-influenced cover of Hall & Oates' "Maneater" for the soundtrack to The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. The Portland, Oregon-born Mitchell -- who plays keys, drums, and guitars -- signed with Casablanca/Republic in 2013 and relocated to Los Angeles. Her debut EP, Design, was released in October 2014. Produced by Morgan Taylor Reid (Lady Gaga, RedOne), the four-song collection had a mature, polished vibe similar to the alt-pop of Lorde and Banks.
