Great Ytene

Cerebral London quartet Great Ytene take their name from an archaic term referring to the New Forest region on the south coast of England. Formed from the ashes of Colours, a similarly minded project, Great Ytene made their debut in 2013 with a pair of independently released singles that drew inspiration from Krautrock, psych, and shoegaze. They were quickly signed to Bella Union, which issued the band's self-titled debut EP which, at a progressive 32 minutes, played more like a full-length.
