Group Rhoda

Group Rhoda is the lo-fi electronic pop project of Bay Area-based musician Mara Barenbaum. Creating spacy, minimal synth-pop drawing from influences such as darkwave and dub, Barenbaum debuted in 2012 with the full-length Out of Time - Out of Touch, issued by U.K. label Night School. She has since appeared on California-based labels Not Not Fun and Dark Entries, with fifth album Phase 5 arriving in 2026.
