Alternative R&B singer/producer Morgan Murphy (aka Guccihighwaters) came up through the cloud rap scene, where his blend of emo, hip-hop, and R&B flourished. Murphy moved from Long Island to Ireland at the age of five, before moving back again at 15. This sense of displacement, and his inherent introversion, caused him to take up bedroom production. He originally began uploading beats under the name Notmorgan, adding vocals to later tracks and changing his name to Guccihighwaters.
