Hal Smith

Otis Campbell, the local sot on the Andy Griffith Show, and charismatic cartoon pooch Goofy were among the characters portrayed by Hal Smith during his career as an actor and voice-over artist respectively. A Midwesterner, Smith was also associated with the voices on various Hanna-Barbera cartoon series created in the '70s, some of them quite obnoxious -- the voices as well as the cartoons.
