Hall Aflame

Having acted as a key songwriter on Metal Church's first two seminal albums, guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof tired of touring and quit the group to pursue new musical interests that would allow him to operate closer to home. The result was Hall Aflame. Formed in 1989, the lineup also included vocalist Ron Lowd, bassist Brian Smith, and drummer Tom Weber. They released a bluesy hard rock album titled Guaranteed Forever on IRS in 1991 and supported it on the road with ZZ Top on their Recycler tour.
