Pianist Helmut Deutsch has specialized in vocal accompaniment and, to a lesser degree, chamber music. He numbers top singers both within the German-speaking sphere and beyond it among his collaborators. Deutsch has also had a long career as an educator. His substantial recording career includes Be Still My Heart: Robert Gund & Wilhelm Grosz (2025) on the Alpha label, on which he backed Christian Immler.
