Biography

The Austrian band Holstuonarmusigbigbandclub (Holstuonar or HMBC for short) was founded in 2003 by five students from Vorarlberg Music College, who mixed folk music with modern pop and some jazz, hip-hop, and reggae elements. After their first two albums, Querschlager ("Cross-Hit") in 2007 and Free Sin in 2008, the group celebrated a great success with the song "Vo Mello bis ge Schoppornou" ("From Mellau up to Schoppernau") in 2010: the song spent a total of 33 weeks on the Austrian charts, peaking at number two, and the accompanying YouTube video managed over a million views....
