Jazz disco fusion quartet from New Jersey, USA, comprising Derrick Dupree (vocals), Al Tanner (lead guitar), Jacob Dixon (bass) and Ricci Burgess (drums). The group started in the gospel field and entered the R&B arena in 1982. They were originally called A Different Flavour and then became Special Forces and had a single, ‘Stroke It', released on Salsoul.
