Huw Warren

A Welsh jazz pianist and composer whose work crosses and fuses many musical genre lines, Huw Warren was born May 18, 1962 in Swansea, Wales. His early exposure to music came as a cellist in a youth orchestra, and he moved on to organ, and then began to concentrate on piano, studying with experimental pianist John Tilbury at the University of London at Goldsmiths in 1980, involving himself in the local jazz and avant-garde scenes before moving his studies to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1983 and 1984.
