Biography
German new wave quartet Ideal were formed around the talents of Annette Humpe, Ernst Ulrich Deuker, Frank Jürgen Krüger, and Hans-Joachim Behrendt. They released their self-titled debut album on Tangerine Dream's Klaus Schulze's record label in 1980. Several more albums followed, including Der Ernst des Lebens and Bi Nuu, before they disbanded in 1984. Drummer Hans-Joachim Behrendt died in Berlin on February 27, 2023; he was 68 years of age. ~ James Christopher Monger
