Texas metalcore combo Invent Animate rose in the mid-2010s with an intricate, technically dazzling sound that incorporated djent, ambient, progressive metal, and post-hardcore. While enduring a handful of membership changes, they earned a reputation for detailed studio craft on albums like 2016's Stillworld and 2020's Greyview while also cementing a legacy as a fierce live act.
