Biography
Crafting expansively arranged pop with a distinctive bedroom production, songwriter J Fernandez slowly built a catalog of understatedly beautiful recordings. Transplanting to Chicago from Arkansas in the early 2000s, Fernandez issued several EPs before a proper debut full-length arrived in 2015 with the Joyful Noise release Many Levels of Laughter. He supported the record with live dates opening for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Alvvays, Mitski, and others and worked toward his 2018 follow-up Occasional Din.
