British pop singer Jacki Bond cut three little-noticed but sublime girl group singles for the Strike label during the mid- '60s. Little is known about Bond's background -- according to the liner notes in the fourth volume of RPM's excellent Dream Babes series, she had virtually no musical experience when she signed on with Strike as a secretary, but label chiefs nevertheless shepherded her into the studio, and in 1965 she issued her debut single, "My Sister's Boy."
