Biography

Jaime Martín has had significant careers as a flutist and, beginning in the late 2000s, as a conductor. He has had an especially international career in the latter field, holding chief conductor positions in Sweden, the U.S., Ireland, and Australia. Those have led to a varied recording catalog that by 2025 included some 40 albums. That catalog included the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's Gustav Holst: The Planets (and Earth), released that year. Martín was born in Santander, in northern Spain, on September 1, 1965. He studied the flute in Madrid with Antonio Arias and moved on...
