Biography
Janusz Wawrowski is a leading figure among his generation of violinists in Poland. Charismatic and innovative, he records for the Warner Classics label and is making an impact beyond Eastern Europe as a performer as well. Wawrowski is active in the chamber music scene as both a performer and a festival director. He has continued to record for Warner Classics but moved to Naxos for a 2024 recording of Valentin Silvestrov's Symphony for Violin and Orchestra ("Widmung").
