Javo Barrera is a three-time Grammy-winning drummer, composer, producer, bandleader, and arranger from Mexico City. While his own recordings focus on modern jazz, his talent in session and live work is wide-ranging and wildly diverse: he has served as musical director and bandleader with La Quinta Estación, Mel Gaynor (Simple Minds), Alejandra Guzman, Natalia Jimenez, Paulina Rubio, Cristian Castro, Carlos Baute, Emmanuel, and many more.
