Soprano Jeanine De Bique emerged in the early 2020s with appearances at the Theater an der Wien, the Teatro del Liceu in Barcelona, and other major European houses. She has a large repertory but has made several major appearances in Baroque opera and in the music of Mozart.
De Bique was born in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, in 1981. At home and at school, she sang Caribbean folk songs, and at school, she was crowned Calypso Queen of the year.
