Burlington, Ontario, punks Jersey reunited singer/guitarist Greg Taylor and drummer Kevin Harris, who previously teamed in the emocore outfit Grade; with Believe's Johnny Lubera on bass, the group debuted in 1998 with No Turning Back, signing to the Fueled by Ramen label to issue the follow-up, The Battle's Just Begun, a year later. The band also included guitarist Sean McNabb. Definition appeared in spring 2001, and at some point, Jordan Hastings replaced Harris behind the drum kit.
