Jey One

Dominican rapper and singer Jey One was born Yeldri Vicente Jiménez Frias in 2001 in Santo Domingo. Jey grew up in a humble neighborhood, which did not deter him from studying music at school and learning to play several instruments. By his early twenties he was making ends meet as a barber, but the interest shown by the Mapa Negro label after hearing his first recordings convinced him to become a professional musician around 2022.
