Biography

b. Yvonne Page, 5 December 1930, Brighton, Sussex, England, d. 16 November 1990, Kingston, Surrey, England. Originally a band singer, Day graduated to become the main vocalist in the Geraldo orchestra. By 1954 she had topped the bill at the London Palladium and co-starred in the West End production of The Talk Of The Town. Screen appearances followed in Always The Bride and All For Mary. Although she registered no chart hits, her name became synonymous with a number of ballads including ‘I'm Old Fashioned', ‘Mangoes', ‘A Holiday Affair' and ‘I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm'. ...
