Biography
Hendricks was a child prodigy and by high school was performing professionally with well-known jazz artists. He writes his own music as well as making piano arrangements of gospel songs, hymns, Christmas carols, and popular vocal standards, utilizing his knowledge of a variety of styles, which range from Mozart and Rachmaninov to Oscar Peterson. Many of his recordings feature his contemporary Christian music, some of which also appears in his book Contemporary Arrangements for Today's Church Pianist. Hendricks is professor of piano at Chicago State University. ~ Patsy Morita
