Jazz violinist and composer Jim Nolet began classical studies at the age of seven, just six years later turning to improvisational performance. His professional debut soon followed, and he later attended the Julliard School as well as Cornish Institute of the Arts, at the latter studying privately under bass virtuoso Gary Peacock.
