Johannes Strate

Best known as the frontman of German quintet Revolverheld, Johannes Strate also went on to forge a solo career that eschewed his more familiar heavy emo-rock influences for a more acoustic-driven singer/songwriter sound. Born in Worpswede, Bremen in 1980 to a guitarist father and pianist mother, he formed his first band, Second Floor, at age 14, and later landed a record deal with the short-lived Privat outfit.
