Joost Lijbaart

Amsterdam-based Joost Lijbaart established himself as a staple in European jazz, lending his skills as a drummer to numerous artists over the years. Born in 1967, he began learning drums at age seven. He went on to graduate with honors from the Hilversum Conservatory in 1991, and within five years he'd released his debut album, 1996's Star Tracks, as part of the Yuri Honing Trio.
