US band formed by Joshua Pehahia (guitar/vocals) in 1981 after he had left Blind Alley. In the early days the line-up fluctuated wildly, with the exception of singer Stephen Fontaine, who possessed a vocal range of four octaves. Perahia and Fontaine, with two acquaintances, recorded the mini-album The Hand Is Quicker Than The Eye, in 1982. The title was suggested by one of the studio engineers, who noticed Perahia's dexterity on the fretboard.
