Biography

Julia Kent is a New York City-based cellist, composer, recording artist, and in-demand session musician. First known as a member of the initial line-up of cello-driven rock group Rasputina during the 1990s, and as a member of Antony & the Johnsons since the early 2000s, she made her solo debut with 2007's Delay, a collection of solo cello compositions enhanced by electronics and found sounds.
